Open Training Day on Oral Language Skills for Everyone

An open training day on learning oral language skills will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at Paasikivi-Opisto in Kakskerta, Turku.

The topics of the day include: • Oral language skills in the Common European Framework of Reference: what to teach at different proficiency levels and how to scale exercises appropriately. • Motivational factors in language learning: how to strengthen learners' motivation in oral language practice. • New ideas for practice: exploring materials and brainstorming new exercises together. • Active listening as part of oral communication.

The program consists of short lectures, discussions, and a workshop where participants will explore various oral exercises and create new materials.

The training day will be conducted primarily in English.

Additionally, we will introduce the OPTIMO project and a free material bank, which is being developed as part of the project.
